When my boyfriend Gabriel and I were on our way to Alishan, we stayed in Chiayi City. Sean's Restaurant offers fantastic food at a reasonable price, considering the personalized service and high-quality ingredients. It's a bit pricier than typical street food or other small family restaurants, but the quality justifies the cost.

There's no dress code, but reservations are a must. You can book online through his Facebook page by messaging and pre-order your meals in advance. Sean likes to prepare everything fresh, so pre-ordering is essential. You can also message him on Facebook to inquire about the menu or if you have any dietary restrictions. The menu is currently only in Chinese, but you can use Google Translate camera to translate the language.

getting there

Depending on your location in Chiayi City, you can reach Sean's Restaurant by bus, taxi, or even on foot.

If you're arriving from the train station outside the city center, it's a 29-minute walk or a quick 4-minute taxi ride.
