One of my favorite experiences during my visit to Taichung was when Gabriel's barber recommended that we check out Wenxin Showtime (文心秀泰影城), a stunning mall in Taichung with two separate movie theater experiences on the top floor (7th floor). Originally, we were looking for sunglasses for Gabriel since he often loses them, but when we checked Wenxin Showtime online and saw pictures of other people’s experiences, we discovered an incredible Tempurpedic movie theater inside the mall which we had to check out!

My experience at Wenxin Showtimes Tempurpedic movie theater, also short for Tempur (丹普廳) in Taiwan, felt so luxurious and it was definitely a unique experience that I don’t want you to miss out on. I can't wait to share my experience with you! Not only are the seats inside the Tempur movie theater Tempurpedic, but they also recline, enhancing the luxurious feeling while watching a movie.

Located on the 7th floor of Wenxin Showtime mall, the Tempur theater has its own private lounge separate from the regular movie theater. As you go up the escalator, you'll notice another room dedicated to the Tempur theater experience. The Wenxin Showtimes theater area already feels upscale, but the Tempur VIP lounge takes the VIP experience to the next level.

the Tempur experience

When my parents and I went to see "Killers of the Flower Moon," we had the whole theater to ourselves since no one else bought tickets and we could personally choose our seats, which made the experience even better. The Tempur cinema has 14 double Tempur seats, making it ideal for couples. If more people are purchasing the Tempur movie experience, the seats will automatically be assigned to you at the ticket counter, which you can find your seat number next to your personal tables.

Tempur movie tickets

To purchase Tempur tickets, you can buy them online or in person at the 7th floor Showtime movie theater. Before heading to the Wenxin Showtime Cinema, make sure to check online for Tempur showtimes, as they differ from regular theater showtimes.

Not all movies will be shown at the Tempur theater — so there are fewer options, and the showtimes are also different than regular movie times. There will be only one movie playing at the Tempur theater every 3-4 hours.
