【文心秀泰影城 丹普廳】Wenxin Showtimes Luxury Tempurpedic Cinema Experience in Taichung
One of my favorite experiences during my visit to Taichung was when Gabriel's barber recommended that we check out Wenxin Showtime (文心秀泰影城), a stunning mall in Taichung with two separate movie theater experiences on the top floor (7th floor). Originally, we were looking for sunglasses for Gabriel since he often loses them, but when we checked Wenxin Showtime online and saw pictures of other people’s experiences, we discovered an incredible Tempurpedic movie theater inside the mall which we had to check out!
My experience at Wenxin Showtimes Tempurpedic movie theater, also short for Tempur (丹普廳) in Taiwan, felt so luxurious and it was definitely a unique experience that I don’t want you to miss out on. I can't wait to share my experience with you! Not only are the seats inside the Tempur movie theater Tempurpedic, but they also recline, enhancing the luxurious feeling while watching a movie.

the Tempur VIP lounge
Located on the 7th floor of Wenxin Showtime mall, the Tempur theater has its own private lounge separate from the regular movie theater. As you go up the escalator, you'll notice another room dedicated to the Tempur theater experience. The Wenxin Showtimes theater area already feels upscale, but the Tempur VIP lounge takes the VIP experience to the next level.
Guests can enter the Tempur VIP lounge an hour before the movie starts and enjoy complimentary snacks and drinks. You can also bring these snacks from the VIP lounge into the Tempur movie theater. Access to the Tempur VIP lounge is exclusive to those who have purchased Tempur movie tickets. Additionally, the VIP lounge offers unlimited free wifi.
My mom and I really enjoyed this luxurious and relaxing experience at the lounge whereas my dad went off to the food court downstairs to exchange the $300 TWD food coupons to grab a bite to eat because there weren’t any lunch specials available at the lounge, just snacks and drinks.

private bathroom in lounge
The Tempur theater not only has its own VIP lounge but also its own personal gender neutral bathroom! This bathroom is much more VIP and upscale than the regular movie theater bathroom on the outside. I thought the regular bathroom at the Wenxin Showtime was already luxurious, but this Tempur bathroom is super elevated and high tech.
When you enter the bathroom, the toilet seat cover automatically comes up when you approach the toilet and flushes on its own as you get off the toilet seat. (I was definitely caught off guard when the toilet seat came up on its own. 😂) Not to mention, it’s a heated toilet seat cover, so your cushion won’t be cold during the winter.
The sink is also pretty futuristic as well. Not only can the sink handle wash your hands, but it can also dry them. There are instructions on the side of the mirror to teach you how to use the faucet if you’re unsure!

the Tempur experience
When my parents and I went to see "Killers of the Flower Moon," we had the whole theater to ourselves since no one else bought tickets and we could personally choose our seats, which made the experience even better. The Tempur cinema has 14 double Tempur seats, making it ideal for couples. If more people are purchasing the Tempur movie experience, the seats will automatically be assigned to you at the ticket counter, which you can find your seat number next to your personal tables.
Each Tempur seat comes with a pillow, blanket, slippers, a small personal table, a cup holder for your drink, an instructions manual on how to use your Tempur seat, a hook and hanger for your jacket, and a remote to adjust your Tempur seat.
As I sat down, the seat felt so comfortable and plush — I sank right in! I loved being able to adjust the chair for the most comfortable viewing experience. There was so much space to sprawl out!

Tempur movie tickets
To purchase Tempur tickets, you can buy them online or in person at the 7th floor Showtime movie theater. Before heading to the Wenxin Showtime Cinema, make sure to check online for Tempur showtimes, as they differ from regular theater showtimes.
Not all movies will be shown at the Tempur theater — so there are fewer options, and the showtimes are also different than regular movie times. There will be only one movie playing at the Tempur theater every 3-4 hours.
If you choose to purchase tickets in person, you can do so on the 7th floor at the same Showtime Cinema ticketing counter. Additionally, consider purchasing your drinks and popcorn beforehand if you're a popcorn lover like me!
For the Tempur experience, I recommend going with a partner, as one movie ticket costs $1390 TWD and two movie tickets cost $1860 TWD. The Tempur movie tickets include a $300 TWD food coupon, which can be used at any of the food restaurants inside Wenxin Showtime mall.
