Wrapped up my Taiwan trip at MiraWan, a restaurant recognized by the Michelin Plate in the 2020 Taipei & Taichung Michelin Guide. Imagine stunning city views from the 47th floor, incredibly delicious food, and an overall vibe that screams "WOW."

MiraWan, short for “Miracles of Taiwan,” uses local ingredients from Taiwan to create beautiful French dishes, implementing both traditional and innovative concepts. The head chef, Josh Cheng, aims to create original French cuisine using nature and unique Taiwanese local ingredients, creating unforgettable experiences for diners.

Head to the dedicated MiraWan elevator which is hidden between the designer shops. A host will be waiting in front of the elevator. So keep an eye out!

food highlights

Some dishes, like the Lobster Pasta and the Boston Lobster with White Asparagus and Caviar (which I highly recommend ordering!), require pre-ordering. We went all out and pre-ordered both when we were reserving our spot!

At the table, we couldn't resist adding some perfectly crispy French Fries to the mix (because fries are life!).

Everything arrived looking like tiny works of art. The taste? Absolutely magnificent. Each bite melted in our mouths, making us want to devour the whole dish instantly. Paired with the stunning views of the Taipei city and the night sky, it was such a memorable dining experience.

One thing to keep in mind is that MiraWan only offers bottled water, sparkling or still. This is pretty common for high-end restaurants in Taipei. While I typically prefer free tap water, the rest of the experience definitely made up for it!

From the stunning views and gorgeous interior to the creative food and impeccable service, it's an experience you won't forget. If you're looking for a special occasion spot in Taipei that offers French fare with a local twist, MiraWan is definitely worth the splurge!
