【台中 柳梢青】Liu Shao Qing in Taichung, Taiwan
Located in Taichung, Liu Shao Qing (柳梢青) is a Chinese restaurant with a modern mixed with playful interior design. The restaurant's unique decor features a mix of cuteness and a strong color scheme that is repeated throughout the establishment.
I had an amazing dining experience at Liu Shao Qing with my parents after a Sunday church service. They suggested taking me to LiuShaoQing knowing how much I appreciate good food. I was excited to experience what this restaurant had to offer.

The interior
As soon as we arrived, we saw this large bright blueish-green door with a sleek gold handle and Chinese calligraphy of the restaurant's name on the left-hand side.
When we entered, I noticed the interior design is a blend of traditional and modern Chinese decor which creates a contemporary atmosphere, targeting a younger clientele.
The unique blueish-green color is displayed throughout the restaurant as the wall colors, window sill colors, and furniture colors.
Our reserved table was located on the second floor, which provided a more intimate setting with lots of natural lighting from the windows.

I love how there’s a mini diffuser, along with some pretty flowers as decor, mouthwash, and toothpicks — some nice and thoughtful touches for your convenience!

food highlights
When you sit down at the table, you'll see two sets of chopsticks. Use the gold ones for sharing dishes with your family or friends, and the signature blue-green ones are for your personal use.
All the dishes I tried were fresh, flavorful, and delicious. Oh, and you have to try their cocktail, it's amazing!

the hearts 🩵 are my favorite dishes at the restaurant. Unfortunately, I didn't write down dish names. If you're interested, just save a pic and show the waiter!

The restaurant had a fun and playful atmosphere, with a perfect balance of natural and artificial lighting.
The staff provided exceptional service, offering suggestions for dishes and drinks.
The attention to detail in the presentation of dishes and the cleanliness of the space was impressive.
Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience.
