My partner and I are always on the lookout for the best local breakfast spots in Bed-Stuy where we can enjoy a quick meal while walking our furry dog, Treasure. One coffee shop we consistently return to is Familiars.

Located in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn, Familiars is a vegan coffee shop that offers a range of delicious options, including Dun-well Doughnuts, freshly baked Noshman’s Bagels, and Stumptown Coffee. As everything on their menu is vegan, it’s an excellent choice for anyone seeking a plant-based meal. They also own Toad Style, which is conveniently located right across the street from Familiars!
While their selection may seem small, their bagels are incredible, and they frequently rotate their variety of vegan pastries, ensuring there's always something new to try. Plus, they even offer vegan dog treats for your doggos!

Caprese BagelMy partner loves their bagel with tofu cream cheese and a coffee, while I always go for the Caprese Bagel, which comes with tofu cream cheese, cherry tomatoes, garlic, basil, and balsamic vinegar — it's so good! I pair it with their chai latte.
Familiars is one of our favorite vegan breakfast spots and our go-to place in Bed-Stuy.
We highly recommend it to all Brooklynites looking for a quick, delicious vegan breakfast!
