Seventy Barcelona in Barcelona, Spain

Sky Room at Seventy Barcelona boutique hotel with king bed and large windows in Eixample, perfect for couples

Our European trip was super last-minute β€” like, β€œWhere can we fly somewhere that fits our budget?” last-minute. Barcelona won with the best flight deal, so we decided to go all in and stay in one city. No hopping around, just soaking up all the culture in one place properly.

My partner was in charge of hotels (bless him), and when he showed me Seventy Barcelona online, I was instantly sold.

Aesthetics? 10/10. Location? Perfectly located between Eixample and GrΓ cia.

Also, a HUGE bonus: Seventy Barcelona is Biosphere Certified, which means they highlight their serious commitment to sustainability.

Imagine:

🌿 Organic, vegan spa products

🌿 Zero plastic, zero waste mindset

🌿 Energy-efficient design + even bird nests built into the exterior walls

Seventy Barcelona is located in the heart of the Eixample District, one of the safest and most well-connected areas in the city. You’re steps away from high-end shopping and local boutiques, with Casa BatllΓ³ just a 13-minute walk and Gaudí’s iconic Sagrada FamΓlia just 18 minutes away. It’s a big win for convenience.

first impressions

The moment we walked in, I was blown away by how stunning the interior was. 🀌🏻

Seventy Barcelona hotel lobby with indoor plants, white spiral staircase, coworking space, and Mediterranean decor

Seventy Barcelona has this beautiful, tall, open space with floor-to-ceiling shelves lined with books β€” it feels like a modern-day library meets stylish hotel lounge.

There’s an open table setup that’s perfect for digital nomads or business travelers who just want to sip on a coffee and get some work done. A few cozy sofas next to a fireplace give off cozy vibes, perfect for curling up with a book (especially when it’s chilly out, lol).

Right in the center, there’s a spacious bar with lots of booths and bar seating.

Behind the bar is where breakfast is served in their restaurant area.

Oh, and there’s an iconic white spiral staircase with glass paneling that adds a cool modern twist but also, ya know, keeps you from falling πŸ˜….

Sky Room overview

We stayed in the Sky Room, and let me just say β€” it delivered.

Seventy Barcelona Sky Room with king bed, mirrored walls, grey couch, and natural light in stylish boutique hotel

The hotel left us a handwritten note and a bottle of chilled cava, and that little gesture immediately set the tone: thoughtful, elegant, and quietly romantic.

The room had a king-sized bed that was suuuper comfy β€” like, sink-in-after-a-long-day comfy. I loved that they used glass bottles for water, refillable toiletry bottles in the shower, and no single-use plastic in sight.

Bathroom? Sleek marble, walk-in shower, zero-waste amenities. It was giving at-home-spa vibes.

There was also a cozy couch setup by the end of the bed, which we actually used to chill with cava and snacks after exploring the city.

We didn’t need anything ultra-fancy, but everything felt just right.

breakfast at The Kitchen & TIMELESS

Dining area at Seventy Barcelona’s The Kitchen & TIMELESS with striped pillows, cozy seating, and ambient lighting

πŸ₯ Breakfast Included: Yes

⏰ Hours: 7:30 AM – 10:30 AM

The setting feels like a high-end open kitchen with buffet vibes.

Unfortunately, we didn’t eat here every morning (Barcelona has way too many great spots that we couldn’t miss out on), but when we did, it was super filling, fresh, and delicious.

I loved the mixture of healthy and sweet options that they served, such as yogurt, sweet pastries, thin meat slices, fresh fruit, and so on.

amenities

Here’s what’s available (and yes, it’s a lot):

Melinda and her partner enjoying Cava on Seventy Barcelona rooftop terrace with sunshine and city views in Eixample

🌞 Rooftop views & Pool

We got a welcome drink coupon at check-in, exchanged it at the bar, and enjoyed two glasses of Cava on the rooftop.

There’s a small pool up there to cool off, but we decided not to swim because the weather wasn’t warm enough.

πŸ§–β€β™€οΈ Spa

Organic, vegan, and so relaxing.

You’ll need a reservation (which is easy to make at the front desk). Before the massage, we hit the spa: indoor pool with built-in water jets, sauna, steam room, and lounge chairs.

The massage itself? Like heaven. The oils smelled amazing, and we felt even better after walking out feeling super relaxed.

πŸ‹οΈ Gym – You can reserve a spot in advance at the front desk

πŸš— Parking with EV charging available + eco-car rentals

πŸ“Ά Free WiFi, coworking spots, business lounge

final thoughts

Is Seventy Barcelona worth it?

Short answer: Yes. 100%. Absolutely.

The services are outstanding, and everyone is incredibly friendly. I love how eco-friendly the building is, along with the thoughtful attention to detail, including handwritten notes. The amenities are also sustainable, contributing to the overall positive atmosphere of this place. I have nothing but good things to say about it.

It's conveniently located within walking distance of most iconic historical sites, blending luxury with eco-consciousness. The hotel design is particularly thoughtful, as the exterior serves as a nest for birds, ensuring we live harmoniously with nature.
