As my partner and I set out from Taichung to explore Alishan in Taiwan, our first stop was Chiayi. It seemed like the perfect place to take a break before heading up into the mountains of Alishan.
My partner booked a night stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Chiayi. This was the first time I had ever heard of the term "Holiday Inn Express" until we stayed there! For those who might be unfamiliar, the term “Express” typically refers to accommodations aimed at business travelers or those on short stays, offering limited amenities. Which I later found out.
Anyway, in this review, I will cover the hotel's location, our experience there, and some handy tips for you!

the location
The strategic location of Holiday Inn Express in Chiayi adds a touch of convenience to your stay. Situated just a few minutes away from the Chiayi city Rear of Railway Station (後火車站), the hotel is easily accessible.
My partner and I exited from the station and found out the hotel was conveniently across the street.
Stepping into the Holiday Inn Express, the interior design effortless blends modern aesthetics with a playful twist creating an inviting atmosphere!
The hotel check in is located on the second floor which you can take the escalator up to get there.
