My personal experience

Even though we stayed just one night, it was still a magical experience. I’ll never forget waking up to panoramic city views, ordering room service breakfast, and just enjoying the city views.

If I could go back, I’d stay at least for a total of two days to completely soak in everything this luxury hotel has to offer without feeling rushed.

Taichung

Relaxing moments at HOSHINOYA Guguan in Taichung, Taiwan.

Bamboo Garden at HOSHINOYA Guguan, Taichung

One of my most memorable experiences in Taichung was staying at HOSHINOYA Guguan. My girl friend and I decided to splurge on a luxurious hot spring resort getaway, which turned out to be a memory I’ll always love to look back on.

HOSHINOYA Guguan is a serene hideaway located in the mountains of Taichung. This place is all about slowing down, being in nature, and enjoying the rejuvenating magic of its natural alkaline hot springs. The cloudy white water looks mysterious and leaves your skin feeling silky smooth.

Why you’ll love it

  • NATURAL HOT SPRINGS

The onsen water is pure alkaline, leaving your skin soft and rejuvenated

  • STUNNING ARCHITECTURE

The minimalist design blends seamlessly with the natural surroundings

  • ENDLESS RELAXATION

From public baths to private in-room hot springs, there’s no shortage of ways to pamper yourself

My personal experience

On an impulsive decision, my friend and I decided to treat ourselves to a stay here, and it was worth every penny.

My favorite memory? Stargazing after a soak in the public onsen, then retreating to our private hot spring bath located in our hotel room to chat the night away.

If you’re looking for the perfect mountain escape with world-class service, this is the place for you. Just make sure to book early — this one’s usually in high demand.

At HOSHINOYA Guguan, I wished we could have stayed for at least two days, but the prices were quite high! The experience was seriously amazing! There are so many activities to enjoy right at HOSHINOYA, making it the perfect place to unwind and escape the busyness of Taichung City.

If you feel like unwinding and going for a drive up the mountains to HOSHINOYA, away from the city, I definitely recommend visiting HOSHINOYA, which has tons of amazing food and great experiences.

Superior Room at TAi Urban Resort, Kaohsiung

TAi Urban Resort is a luxurious 5-star hotel in Kaohsiung, offering an unforgettable stay for those seeking comfort, style, and convenience.

During my visit with my partner, we explored the city I once called home in 2004 and 2005. Kaohsiung has transformed dramatically with stunning modern architecture and an efficient MRT system over the years.

TAi Urban Resort perfectly complemented this stunning city, offering high-class amenities like an infinity pool, sophisticated bars, gourmet restaurants, and a library-like ambiance with endless bookshelves.

Why you’ll love it

When the weather’s perfect, you can take a refreshing dip in the infinity pool while soaking up views of Kaohsiung’s skyline — an absolute must on sunny and hot days

  • FAMILY-FRIENDLY ATMOSPHERE

Despite its chic appeal, this resort welcomes families with open arms. I loved seeing parents and children enjoying the expansive facilities, making it a great choice for travelers of all ages.

My personal experience

Our stay at TAi Urban Resort was short but sweet. With just one night before heading to Vietnam, I couldn’t fully explore all the incredible features this hotel offers. The infinity pool and the serene ambiance left me wanting more. Next time we’re in Kaohsiung, I hope to stay longer and experience everything this luxury resort has to offer.
