【一中街夜市】Yizhong Street Night Market: games, photobooths and adventures in Taichung
Yizhong Street Night Market is a popular night market in Taichung. It's filled with TONS of delicious food stalls, small shops, and fun games. I was excited to cross it off my Taichung Bucket List and share this amazing experience with Gabriel with my friends from Bristol in October!
Unfortunately, I was having too much fun that I didn't prioritize taking pictures. But it's okay because I recorded videos, and I'm thrilled to show you guys the new adventures in my upcoming Taiwan video! 📷
Yizhong Street Night Market is a popular spot for students since it’s located near schools and universities. It has a lively and youthful ambiance, full of energy and excitement. So, expect large crowds, especially on holidays and weekends!

Things to Do
Yizhong Street Night Market
There are many fun activities at Yizhong Street Night Market! Some of my personal favorites were:
Photo Booth
Go into photo booth shops scattered throughout the night market.
Grab sone funky outfits and/or accessories you’d like to wear and on head into the booths!
You pay inside the photo booth by inserting cash. Once you’re ready, pick a filter you like, hit the button and get ready for the countdown in 3, 2, 1 SNAP!
【小時候打彈珠】Playing Marbles As A Child
Take a trip down memory lane and play "Playing Marbles As A Child" traditional Taiwanese game.
Don't worry if you’re not sure how to play, the staffs are extremely nice and will help you understand the rules.
Buy your marbles, pick a machine, and start playing! It's not about winning prizes — it's about making memories and having a great time with friends!
Win Plushies!
If you enjoy playing games, there are many machines with claws and other games where you can win stuffed animals.
Gabriel won this cute little kitty for me, but instead of using a claw machine, he used this round machine. By pressing a button in the right place and time, the stuffed animal comes down like a gacha machine (扭蛋機), and a random prize comes out!
If anyone knows the name of this machine and this cute kitty, please let me know!
