Little City Coffee and Kitchen - Interior, Delicious Food, Blueberry Pastry

Our last morning in Providence, Gabriel was extremely excited to take me to this breakfast spot that he found conveniently nearby The Dean hotel we were staying at. He mentioned that this the perfect place to grab a small but filling breakfast and walk around the area to explore the shops nearby.

ambiance & atmosphere

The moment we approached Little City, I was amazed by the building's beauty. With a history dating back to 1904, the building's revival in 2021 by the two visionary co-owners breathed new life into its walls. A fusion of on-the-go convenience and historical reverence, the cafe's minimalist decor pays homage to the past while catering to modern needs.

Stepping inside, the expansive floor-to-ceiling windows bathed the interior in natural light, creating a serene environment for those seeking solitude, study, or simply a moment alone before heading out to their next destination.

A brilliant focal point that grasped my attention immediately was the towering light brown wooden bookshelf filled with plants and books that doubled as a partition. Behind the bookshelf was the kitchen. Cleverly designed, there’s a discreet opening in the bookshelf allowing the kitchen staff to seamlessly deliver you your freshly prepared breakfast sandwiches.

While cozy in size, the layout was planned brilliantly. Tables and chairs against the windows provided an ideal backdrop for work or heart-to-heart conversations. The high ceiling expanded the spatial perception, creating an open and airy ambiance.

Seated comfortably, my eyes wandered to a diverse crowd within Little City. From artists sketching away to friends enjoying their morning meals. It was nice to see a mixture of people each engaged in their unique morning rituals.

on-the-go breakfast

Little City seamlessly caters to the dynamic pace of life, making it a haven for those in a hurry. Their thoughtful approach extends to those with time-sensitive schedules, emphasizing a seamless experience. They even offer the convenience of online ordering through their website, allowing people to effortlessly pick up their orders and head to their next destination — an innovation that aligns perfectly with modern lifestyles.

During our visit, we observed many people who stood in line before and after us placed their orders, waited for their freshly prepared meals or coffee and headed out ready for their day.

fresh & flavorful

Little City's artfully handcrafts their breakfast sandwiches on sourdough English muffins, paired with daily baked pastries shows their commitment to making delicious bites. The ever-changing menu harmonizes with the seasons, presenting an array of flavors to elevate your coffee experience.

Gabriel ordered the Bacon, Egg and Cheese Sandwich with hot coffee and a sugar coated blueberry pastry. I ordered the Pulled Mushroom Sandwich and Matcha Latte with creamy oat milk ignited my senses.

The impeccable balance of textures and flavors within my Pulled Mushroom Sandwich inside the English muffin… was absolutely delicious! Gabriel enjoyed his breakfast as well but he loved his blueberry pastry the most and said it was the best he’s ever tasted!
