If you’re visiting Taichung and you're looking for a relaxing place to spend time without spending any money, I highly recommend visiting Fengle Sculpture Park. This park is not your typical park — it’s like an open art gallery with 52 unique sculptures scattered throughout, a clean sandy playground with swings for families, and a large pond with turtles, fish, and ducks, complete with a stunning bridge.

about Fengle Sculpture Park
The Fengle Sculpture Park was opened in 1994 and is a 6-hectare park located in Taichung, with 52 outdoor sculptures spread across the entire park.
The park includes a skateboarding area and a pond with a bridge that you can walk over when the weather is nice or under when the sun is too hot. The pond is home to ducks, turtles, and fish that swim around. When you approach the pond, the turtles may swim over to greet you (hoping for food), and the fish may also come by, expecting to be fed.
There is also a large sandy playground with swings, perfect for families with kids who want to enjoy the outdoors.

Take the green line and get off at the Fengle Park stop.
TAXI/UBER
You can either flag down a taxi or use your Uber app to call for a ride to the park.
YOUBIKE
You can rent a YouBike and cycle to the park from a bike station located outside.
Please note that biking inside the park is not allowed, so you can only walk once you're inside.

There are two different theaters to enjoy — one is the Dolby Atmos with the highest quality sound, and the other is a smaller, more intimate, but separate Tempurpedic movie theater with limited seating, offering an incredible experience.
