Welcome to Flamenco Beach, a true gem located on the small island of Culebra, Puerto Rico! Renowned worldwide for its breathtaking beauty, the crystal-clear waters and powdery white sand will leave you in awe.
Tucked away on the remote island of Culebra, getting here may require a bit of effort, but trust me — it's definitely worth it.

getting there
Getting to Flamenco Beach is part of the adventure! Here's how:
FERRY
If you're looking for a budget-friendly option, hop on the ferry from Ceiba, which is about an hour's drive from San Juan.
PLANE
For a more convenient and faster option, consider flying from San Juan airport with airlines like Cape Air or Air Flamenco. It takes about 30 minutes from San Juan to Culebra. This is how Gabriel and I got to Culebra and it was such an experience!
Once you've arrived in Culebra, you can rent a golf cart or Jeep to explore the island at your own pace, or if you're feeling adventurous, take an hour-ish walk to reach Flamenco Beach.

Swim, grab your snorkel gear to explore the marine life, kayak, or just dive into the beach and ride the waves.

Walk along the shore and soak up the sun.
I’ve seen other people bring their volleyball to play around, and frisbee.

final thoughts
After dropping our bags at Aleli Cottage, our home away from home in Culebra, our first stop was Flamenco Beach.
As soon as we arrived, I was in awe of the beauty of how white and soft the sand was — not to mention how clear and blue the ocean water was as well!
Even when it was January, the weather was perfect, and the beach was alive with activity. Music filled the air as people danced, swam, and simply soaked up the sun.
We decided to explore the beach, away from the crowds. Along the way, we saw a beautiful rainbow — making this beach trip even more magical.
Based on our experience, I highly recommend exploring every corner of this breathtaking beach — it's bound to leave you with memories to last a lifetime.
